This is a long post with two cards, one for Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #21 and one for  the release of Kenny K's Sizzling new images - Krash Kittenz.

To see the winners of the NAME THOSE KITTENZ competition head on over to Donna's blog.

Hi

I hope some of you somewhere are keeping dry cause it's getting down right soggy here as our wet season swings in to gear.

It's been fabulous weather for crafting though and I have been particularly industrious this week and have two cards for you today!! Now that's something that doesn't happen often around here lol!

The new challenge for this week over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog is - In The Pink

For my card I have used "Devilish Donna" one of my absolute favourite images to colour.

I even took a leaf out of my blogging buddy Mary J's book and tried my hand at decorating the inside of this card too.

I'm really happy with how it came up except I definitly need more sponging practice. Thanks for the inspiration Mary J! I also felt that this card is just crying out for some real stitching but alas me and sewing machines.............. well, maybe that is a challenge I will set for myself during the upcoming six weeks school holidays.

I have used Rose Red cardstock from Stampin' Up! and double sided designer paper from kaisercraft called Hustle.

Image is printed on Neenah Solar White Super Smooth Classic Crest paper and has been coloured with Copics.

Skin E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair, clothes, boots, flowers and rhinestones R81, R83 and R85
Eyes B93, B97 and Y13

Papers have been distressed with Stampin' Up Rose Red ink.

Now on the the NEW RELEASE of Kenny K's KRASH KITTENZ.

Kenny K has release a new set of images and they are SIZZLING!!

for my card I have used "Jessi Jane" and I have merged her with Kenny's "Xmas Accessories".

Sentiment was computer generated.

The papers are Christmas papers I had in my stash but I can't tell you where they are from sorry.

Image is printed on Neenah Solar White Super Smooth Classic Crest paper and coloured with Copics.

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair, Clothes and Boots - E25, E29 and E53
Eyes - B93 and Y13
Presents - R22, R24, R27, R29, R46, YG91 and YG93

I have used E29 to colour white Gross Grain Ribbon to match.

Now head on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog and check out Team A's sizzling cards for this week's challenge.

Remember to be in the running to win some of Kenny K's images you need to use a Kenny K image on your card.

You can see the new fast and furious and super sexy KRASH KITTENZ over at Kenny's shop.

Whew, sorry for the big super long post!!

Hi Copic fans!!

Thursday again that means it's my turn to inspire you to reach for your Copics and create yourself something fabulous.

I am so excited to see so many fabulous cards already submitted. You guys are amazing!! If you haven't already been over to check them out you should and there is still plenty of time for you to get your markers out and join in the fun.

For my card this week I have gone with one of Kenny K's fantastic images "Mistletoe"

Now, I'm pretty sure these papers are from Stampin' Up but I can't tell you what they are. But I'm sure when my wonderful Mum reads this post she will let me know.

But the basic colour combo I have used is Brown, Blue an Green (there's a bit of orange in there too :-D )

I've used a my Peach Spica Pen to add a little shimmer to the trim of her jacket and boots. Here's a photo to hopefully show it up a bit better.

Copics I have used for this image are:

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair - Y26, Y21, C1 and C3
Clothes and Boots - B91, B93, B97, (E53, E25 and Peach Spica Pen for trim)

Hi

How was your weekend? I hope you all had fabulous time. Mine was busy. I had a big garage sale on Sunday (well technically it wasn't a garage sale  as I held it at the local Markets) to sell off the last of our baby stuff. With the weekend over and Monday here again the Make It Monday linky party is open once again. One thing I am noticing with the Make It Monday weekly linky party is that it is really highlighting to me how quickly the weeks are passing! Here were are at #12 already. It's so nice to see so many of you joining in each week.  You sure are a creative bunch!!

Mad For Markers New Challenge

.
Hi there Copic fans!

Whoo Hoo, it's a new challenge over at Mad For Markers and a timely one for me might I add.  I sure needed a prod to get me working on some Christmas cards and with the new Mad For Markers challenge being Christmas Cards in Non Traditional Colours (using Copics of course) I'm well and truly motivated now.

For my card I have gone with PINK, GREEN and CREAM.

I have used the stamp set "Doodled Christmas" from Kaiser

My Mum sent me up some leaves that she had puched or die cut I'm not sure but there were all in different colours but the backs of them were white. So I just flipped them over and coloured them with Copics. I also coloured the clear rhinestones so that they would match too.

Copic colours used are:

R81, R83, R85 for the Baubles and Rhinestones

YG93 for the leaves

Head on over to the Mad For Markers Challenge Blog to get your daily dose of ispiration and to link up your Non Traditional Christmas card. I can't wait to see it!!

For all your Copic and related supplies head on over to Mad For Markers online store.

Mad For Markers post to Australia and New Zealand and stock a large range of Copic Markers, Blending Card, Masking Paper etc.

Teacher's Gift Request

.
Hi

I hope you are all having or have had (depending on your geographical location) a good day.
Mine was not so crash hot.

I had been feeling a little off colour yesterday but woke up today with a really horrible tummy bug. My DH was up and gone to work early and wouldn't be home till late and I was in no condition to drive the boys to school today so the three of them were home with me.To really make sure the day went as badly as possible,  today was the day the electricity was scheduled to be off from 8:30am to 5pm for maintenance. So the poor boys couldn't even watch tv or play on the computer to entertain themselves. Stinking hot and humid here as well and no aircon, so all in all, a fabulous day, NOT!

Anyway, enough whinging! On to a little gift set I wanted to share with you.

I made this calendar stand last week for a friend who had requested something suitable for her daughter's male teacher.

A frame stand is made from cardstock and designer paper. I have given it a coat of Modge Podge for strength and durability.

I still have about eight more gifts sets to make for my kids teachers so I better get more organised!

Atleast I am feeling a bit better this evening so I should be right for tomorrow.

Another bit of good news is that my Dad has finally (after four weeks in the hospital stroke ward) been transferred to a rehab centre. It is closer to their home so it makes it easier for my Mum and apparently she can take Dad's dog (who he loves to death) in to see him. That will give him a real boost.

Just a reminder too that the Make It Monday linky party is open at the top of my blog.

You have plenty of time to dig through your blog archives and find a fabulous project that you want to dust off and show off to everyone, or you could link up your most recent.

There is no theme, anything goes. It's all about sharing the creativity and gaining some inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #19 - Sparkle & Spots

.
Hi

Well Sunday again, what a crazy, busy week it has been. I'm guessing you are all busy too, gearing up for Christmas.

It is challenge time again over at Kenny K's Krafty Girls Challenge Blog and it's Team B's turn this week. Challenge is - Sparkle and Spots.

I decided to make a masculine card this week (I need to break out of my comfort zone once in a while).

I have used "Lady Raven" from Kenny K.
Papers are Christmas papers that came free in a magazine last year.
I'll be honest and say there isn't a whole lot of sparkle on my card, but the silver eyelets are nice and shiney so I reckon that counts lol.

Head on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog now and check out the rest of the DT's stunning creations.

Just a reminder too that the
Name Those Kittenz Competition is still running

Don't forget for your chance to win one of these fabulous new Kittenz and a choice of two other digi's from Kenny K, head on over here and enter to win.
Remember there will be 12 Winners.......competition ends Nov 21st.

Make It Monday #10 - a little different this time

.
Hi

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We certainly did, the weather was fine and we spent a considerable amount of time in the pool.

I told my boys this morning that they have only five weeks left of school which equates to 25 more school days. Then it dawned on me that I better get my finger out and get to work on making Teacher gifts.  I have made a start but I still have about 12 gifts and cards to make. YIKES!

Last weeks Make It Monday linky party was the biggest week so far with lots of new faces. I am really pleased that you are all enjoying the opportunity to show off your creations and visit the other blogs and leaving such lovely comments for each other.

This week I thought I would do something a little different.

You can still link up any creation you like be it old or new, but I thought that if any of you have any Teacher's Gift ideas that you might like to link those up to give me some inspiration.

And remember you can link up as many times as you like each week.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #18 - Don't Be Square and a COMPETITION

.

Hi everyone I hope you have all had a fabulous week.

It's Sunday again so that means it's time for another Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge.

This week Team A are on the job and the challenge is - Don't Be Square

Kenny also has a competition running to Name his new images - more of that in a bit.

I decided to play along with Kenny's challenge this week to create a card that wasn't square. My card started out as one of those spring cards but I decorated the diamond too heavily and it wouldn't stand up so I decided to "modify" it.

Here's what I ended up with

Image is "Miss Thang" from Kenny K

There is a space to write your message on the back and you could wrap a small gift to place inside .

or you could just fold it down flat to put in a standard 15cm x 15cm square envelope.

Now head on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog and check out Team A's incredibly creative work and get all inspired to make your own card to enter the challenge. Remember to be in the running to win the free digis you need to use one of Kenny's images.

Now, on to the Competition Kenny has running.

NAME THOSE KITTENZ

Kenny's has some new exciting ( if a little bit naughty lol) images but they need a name.

Kenny will be choosing the names he likes best and there will be 12 winners. Yes that's right, 12 chances to win. What's the prize you ask????

Each winner will win the Krash Kitten that they've named plus an additional two digi images of their choice.

Head on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog for more details.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Barbara from - Barbara's World Of Whimcees

With her Owl-O-Ween poster of 2010

I love the story behind this fantastic Halloween scene Barbara has created.

Each year on October 1st Barbara creates a Halloween decoration on the door to her apartment and adds characters to it until Halloween Eve. This year it is a "Owl-O-Ween Forest" and she has added little owls in costume each day. Each owl has been created by hand! This lovely lady has more creativity in her little finger than I have in my whole body!! Barbara's talent is not limited to papercraft though, when you browse through her blog you will find the most incredible dolls and bears too.

Please pop on over to Barbara's blog and have a really good browse around, I know you will be impressed by her creativity as I am each time I visit.
