Tennis anyone?

.
Hi

Not a lot of crafting going on here for me this week as the boys are back at school an that means I spend a good percentage of my day in the car! But I do have a card for you today using another fabulous image from Kenny K. This one called "Tennis" is available now over at his Digi Store.

I have used a flower stamp from Stampin Ups Flower Fancy set to stamp So Safron cardstock with So Safron ink (both from SU) to create the background. Designer papers are also from SU.

I have used the following Copics to colour the image

Hair - E29, E25 and E53
Skin - E11, E00, E000 and R20
Clothes - R85, R83 and R81

Scollop circle was cut on the Big Shot and I dotted around the edge with rhinestones.

You still have plenty of time to join in the fun over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog. Hop on over there and check out all the amazing cards.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Fairy Kiki

.
Hi

Using images from Mo's Digital Pencil Too, just makes making beautiful cards so easy!

I fell in love with this gorgeous image "Fairy Kiki" and found that the image was so cute it really didn't need much in the way of embellishing.

I created the background by stamping some green flourishes on to Stampin Ups So Safron cardstock and inking around the edges with So Safron ink. Green cardstock is from stash so I can't tell you the name of it sorry.

The image panel is popped up on dimensionals andI used Copics to colour the image. Because I only have a small selection of colours I had to use blues and yellows to create the greens. I just love how well the Copics blend.

Small flower rhinestones were the finishing touch.

I was also so happy to receive a blog award the other day from my friend Helen over at Let's Create.

Thank you Helen it was really sweet of you to pass it on to me.

I would like to pass on this award to the following blogs that I enjoy visiting.

Ash at Hastkala - becuase I love what she creates with limited supplies.
Kas at Kazzellscrafts because her cards are always beautiful
and
Lisa at Mess2Magic because she is the best blogging buddy!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and for your wonderful comments. I love reading them and if you leave me your email or blog address I will come and visit you too.

Let the fun begin!

.

Hi

I'm so excited!! The day has finally arrived for the first challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog.

The first challenge is PASTELS a nice easy one to get you started and Kenny has a whole range of images for you in his shop that will really get your creativity flowing. The hardest part will be deciding on which one to choose!!

The Design Team has been split in to two groups and Team A has some fantastic inspirational cards to get you on the right track over at the Challenge Blog.

Even though I am part of Team B I couldn't help joining in and colouring up this awesome image from Kenny K.

Image is called "All That" and I have coloured her up with  a mix of Copics and Stampin Up Markers.

I created my own designer paper by stamping the background with flowers from Stampin Ups  Cottage Garden set. I made some flowers to co-ordinate and added a little extra shine with some Stickles on the petals.

Hop on over to Kenny K's shop and get hold of some of these awesome images and join in the fun on the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog.

There are three prizes up for grabs too:

1st - 3 Digi stamps of your choice

2nd - 2 Digi stamps of your choice

3rd - 1 Digi stamp of your choice

I look forward to seeing your creations!!

Super Card

.
Hi

Hey Ho, another boys card, will wonders never cease!

This one is for my boy, Luke, his birthday is next month and I thought this image "Super Duper Boy" from Mo's Digital Pencil Too would be perfect as he is right in to the super/action heroes at the moment.

Layout was pretty much determined by the big boo boo I made in the shading around the image. I stuffed it up so bad I nearly put a hole in the cardstock trying to fix it. So I put the sentiment there to try and cover most of it up.

I stamped the star background paper using the Stampin Up! Starring You stamp set. The sentiment also comes from this set.

Striped paper was created using Copics B97 and B91 on Whisper White cardstock.

Image is coloured using Lyra water colour crayons and Copics B97, B93 and B91 for the Jeans and E11, E00, E000 and R20 for the skin.

Thanks for stopping by today.

It's not pink!

.
Well, the first card might not be but the second one sure is............. you can't possibly be surprised!

Hi

Hope you are all having a fantastic day.

Bit of drizzly rain here today, but it hasn't stopped my boys running around outside in their underwear shooting each other with water pistols. Boys hey!

I had a couple of these baby elephants from Squigglefly printed up so I thought I would colour them up this morning while the boys were playing outside.

Baby Elephant is coloured with Copics - B97, B93 and B91

I cut around the image and placed it on top of a circle of SU Whisper White cardstock. I cut out a large scollop circle on the bigshot and placed the white circle on top. I used my B97 copic to trace around the circle and the scollop edge but it looks a bit dodgy unfortunately. White pearls are dotted around the edge of the scollop circle too.

Designer paper is from Stampin Up.

Now for the pretty pink one........... always has to be a pink one on this blog of mine it would seem. I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't be signing up for some sort of 12 step program to wean me off the pink!

I really loved how the baby boy's card came up so I decided to make one for a baby girl as well.

Baby Elephant is coloured with Copics - R85, R83 and R81

Designer Papers are from Stampin Up.

I'm linking these cards up to the Squiggle fly challenge #56 - Open

Use it up

.
Hi

I hope you are all having a great week and that any of you that were sporting sore heads after the 4th July weekend have fully recovered.

A week or so ago I decided to relocate my craft room to another room in the house so that my boys could have a playroom again Obviously I was not content with them creating mountains of mess in their rooms and felt the need to let them spread it a little further around the house! Crazy, I know, what was I thinking!!

Any hoo, the day after the relocation I came down with a nasty flu and havent as yet finished sorting out this new craft room so there are piles of things all over the floor. Basically it is total chaos. I had a go this morning at starting the whole sorting process, but ended up getting distracted by the left overs from  the card I made the other day ( see previous post). It does not take much to distract me from sorting out mess.

Image is from Squiggle fly and was coloured with copics.

I created the striped paper using Copics and very vanilla cardstock.

I sponged around the image and sentiment with Stampin Up So Safron Ink.

Corners were made by cutting a 7cm x 7cm square of brown cardstock in to four triangles and using my SU eyelet border punch along one edge.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Queens Cutie

.
Hi

I hope those of you celebrating the 4th July this weekend are having a wonderful time with family and friends.

I can't help myself, ever since being asked to join the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz design team I haven't stopped colouring the fab new images.

Kenny has a new freebie available this month over at his digi shop KennyKdownloads.com so hop on over and grab it for yourself and join in the fun. The new challenge begins on July11th.

I know, I know, I really need to start stretching myself a bit more. I use way too much pink, but I just can't help it. I did try for a few days there to make a few masculine cards but very quickly slipped back in to my all time favourite pink and girly cards.

I coloured this fabulous image (Queens Cutie) up first with my copics and then realised that I didn't have the papers to co-ordinate with it. So I decided to make up some papers of my own.

I made the floral paper by stamping Stampin Ups A Rose Is A Rose on Very Vanilla cardstock with Pretty In Pink ink.

For the striped paper I used Very Vanilla cardstock again and used E25 and R83 Copics to create the pattern.

I also had a try at making my own paper flowers for this card too. There are so many great tutorials out there for making these wonderful flowers. I have a set of three scollop circle punches that I used to create these flowers. It was so easy and I'm really happy with how they turned out.

I cut out the coloured image and sat it on top of two nesting ovals and then adhered that on top of an embossed panel of Pretty In Pink carstock. I used my Stampin Up Eyelet Border punch to create the decorative corners.

Copics  I used on this image are:

Hair - E29,E25 and E53
Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Clothes and shoes - R85, R83, R81, E29, E25 and E53

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Happy 4th July!

Paper Cubed (P3) July Challenge

.
Hi

Well, here we are, July already!

Good news is it's time for another challenge over at Paper Cubed (P3). This months challenge is to make a table top decoration. It can be any theme or style you would like, just make it something you would use to decorate a table.

I decided that since my son is having his 6th birthday next month I would make something to go on the table for his party.

Train engine measures approximately 30cm long x 10cm wide and 30cm high.

Carriage measures approximately 19cm long x 10cm wide and 12cm high.

I basically just made it by joining a series of boxes and cylinders togther. There was a fair bit of trial and error involved but I'm really happy with how it turned out and I know my boys will be thrilled with it. Keeping it out of their hands will be another story. I think after the party it will have to go up on a shelf in my sons room or it wont last five minutes.

Hop on over the the Paper Cubed (P3) challenge blog and check out the rest of the design teams wonderful creations. I hope you will be inspired to join in the fun.

The prize this month is a TIM HOLTZ STAMP SET and GRUNGE BOARD!

You have the whole month to get your creation in.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!!

Exciting News and a sweet gift

.
Hi

Woo Hoo, I am so excited, I can't believe I managed to hold on to this amazing news for the last few days without just bursting.

I am extremely happy to say that I have been chosen to be on the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz design team.

Check out my sidebar for the links to the rest of the design team. I am honoured to be working along side such amazing talent.

The first challenge begins on July 11th and I hope you can all come on over to

Kenny has an amazing new digi store Kenny K Downloads.com where you can find the the amazing Glam Gang images and more to come.

And now if that was enough excitement for one week I also received a parcel in the mail from my sweet friend Lisa from Mess2Magic with this lovely birthday gift inside.

Isn't she wonderful!! This card and necklace set is beautiful and pink so I love it! Thank you Lisa, you are so kind and I'm lucky to have made such a wonderful friend.

Poor Lisa was worried because the parcel had not arrived in time for my birthday last week but I told her that mail to this part of Australia seems to come on the back of snail drawn chariot.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
